Joining him were Eric Wheeler on bass, John Lamkin, drums, and William Henderson on piano. ]]>The Washington, DC-based dance troupe Step Afrika! performed at Philadelphia's Mann Center for the Performing Arts on August 1, 2012. I was thrilled to be photographing the show since I presented the group way back in the mid-1990's when they were just getting started. They were exciting then, but Wow! have they come a long way. Following the show, the company had lunch with folks from Jill Scott's summer camp. Gotta love summer!
